The purpose of this study is to test the blood of Healthcare Workers (HCWs) for antibodies against COVID-19 (anti-SARS-CoV-2) at the start of the study and then again after 6 weeks and 12 weeks to figure out how many people have antibodies already and how many HCWs develop antibodies as the pandemic progresses. After obtaining participant consent, we will also follow participants for symptoms of infection to understand whether the antibodies lead to protection against infection. We will be looking at consenting and enrolling 2 groups of participants – a baseline group, and those that show symptoms and test positive for Covid-19.This will provide important information about how much COVID-19 has been circulating in the community already and the follow-up tests will help us to understand how the virus is spreading through the community.
